Care

Every Hervé Chapelier bag is made to be part of your life for many years. To preserve all its qualities, we invite you to follow these recommendations.

CLEANING

Canvas: if the outside of your bag becomes dirty, clean it with a cloth lightly dampened with cold water and a mild, pH-neutral soap. Never soak your bag. Then wipe off any excess water and leave it to air dry.

Leather trims: wipe them with a slightly damp cloth, then leave them to air dry.

Never use solvents, bleach or stain removers.

DO NOT

Your bag should never be:

- machine washed,

- bleached,

- tumble dried,

- ironed,

- dry cleaned.

These instructions match the five care symbols on the label sewn onto your bag.

PROTECTING YOUR BAG

Our canvas is PVC-coated: do not apply any waterproofing product, cream or wax, as some may damage it.

Protect your bag from heavy rain, humidity, heat sources and prolonged exposure to sunlight.

STORING YOUR BAG

If your bag gets wet, wipe it with a dry cloth and let it dry completely in the open air, away from any heat source, before storing it.

Store your bag empty, away from light, in a dry, temperate place.

Avoid prolonged contact with materials that may transfer color onto the outside or the lining of your bag.
